Dr Ahmed Kazmi

Dr Ahmed Kazmi is a UK trained and accredited dermatologist. He completed his undergraduate degree in Medicine from the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2008. He initially undertook training in general practice whilst simultaneously undertaking the UK physician exam (MRCP). Whilst working as a GP he nurtured his interest in dermatology by sitting several courses including Queen Mary University’s post graduate diploma in clinical dermatology, which he passed with distinction. In 2017 he decided to retrain in dermatology and undertook this training at the prestigious Royal London Hospital and Royal Free Hospital. Dr Kazmi is applying to have his UK qualifications assessed in Australia in order to be recognised a specialist dermatologist in Australia.

During his dermatological training and experiences in both the UK and Australia, Ahmed has had exposure to all areas of adult and paediatric dermatology including skin cancer, inflammatory dermatoses, scalp disorders and psychodermatology.

He has a wonderful general medical background being a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the UK, a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and having undertaken postgraduate diplomas in obstetrics and gynaecology, reproductive and sexual health, child health and geriatric medicine.

Ahmed is an avid medical educator and regularly teaches dermatology. He has chaired meetings and given lectures for several renowned institutions including the Royal College of General Practitioners of the UK, the British Medical Journal and Primary Care Dermatology Society of Ireland. Ahmed has currently part of the panel of the British Association of Dermatologists updating guidelines on alopecia areata and he is working on several papers awaiting publication.

Ahmed has joined the practice for a year to gain mastery in the management of scalp and hair disorders under the mentorship of Professor Sinclair and he looks forward to treating you. Ahmed can consult in English, French, German and Urdu/Hindi. He is very inclusive and respectful of all patients including patients identifying as LGBTQIA.
